ABOUT

Hi! I'm Laura, the founder of Lighthouse Pediatric Speech Therapy. I graduated with my masters degree in Speech Language Pathology from Adelphi University in 2012. I have been a nationally certified ASHA Speech Language Pathologist since 2013 and am currently licensed in the state of NY. I have been a speech language pathologist at a special education pre-school for 10 years and have a passion for helping little ones learn to communicate. I have experience working with children on the autism spectrum and use a neurodiversity affirming approach to therapy. I prioritize connecting with my clients and having FUN, as this leads to the best communication outcomes!

My special interests are late talking, autism, preschool speech and language, AAC and gestalt language processing. I practice evidence based, child lead, and family centered therapy during individualized 1:1 therapy sessions. I am also available for parent coaching.
